Clinton Yeboah, a final year student of Media and Communication Studies at the Department of Language and Communication Sciences of KNUST has been honoured at the 2023 International Sports Press Association Awards (AIPS) held in Barcelona, Spain.

He was hailed for his special reports on the deteriorating state of the abandoned Nyinahin Sports Complex in the Atwima Mponua District.

The AIPS Sport Media Awards is the highest international accolade for sports journalism in the sports media industry.

Clinton’s story was selected among the top five stories under the broadcasting category for the Young Reporters (Broadcasting) award, where he placed fourth.

He made it into the shortlist of the Video Short feature category for his video feature titled, "Abandoned Nyinahin project: monumental disappointment to youth in sports in Ghana."

Clinton presently works with the Multimedia Group where he reports for Luv Fm and Joynews. This achievement, besides his efforts, proves the exceptional contribution and training offered by faculty members to students of the Department of Language and Communication Studies at KNUST.

The Bachelor of Arts in Media and Communication Studies is only five years since its introduction into KNUST but it has produced very promising talents for the media industry, who are doing exceptionally well even as student journalists.
