Alumnus of the Department, Clinton Yeboah, Wins Student Journalist of the Year at the 29th GJA Media Awards Back-to-back.

Clinton Yeboah, a former student of the Department of Language and Communication Sciences has won for the second consecutive year the award for the Best Student Journalist at the 29th Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Media Awards.

He was honoured the award last year for his outstanding work as a student journalist at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. This year, he received the award once again for his work, "The Cost Barrier: Underfunded NHIS Leaves Patients Stranded at Hospitals", which explores the difficulties patients and relations face in spite of the existence of the National Health Insurance Scheme. 

This piece was commended for its ability to paint a clear picture of the struggles of the society as well as its professionalism.
